I appreciate the fact that the water compartment is sealed off at the bottom and easily accessible through the top. It is extremely easy to set up. The remote makes it very easy to use and the options are impressive, with color choices and timers. It is nearly silent when water is filled up near the top. So far (3 days) I am pleased and recommend it.
Thank you for sharing, Walter!
I like the item, but the adaptor should be included. Nice sounding and design of container is pretty.
Thank you for your feedback, Diana!
This was bought as a present for a friend that has tinnitus. I tried it first to make sure everything was in order and the sound was pleasant--no background motor running, imbalance in water flow, etc. I am happy to say that all was fine. The sound of water flowing is very nice. No parasitic sound from pump motor. All tech equipment and parts were in perfect working order. Colors are quite beautiful. 2 small things: 1) lithium battery included was kaput, not working, and 2) the color changing transition time is too abrupt, I would have preferred a smoother transition between color changing. My friend is very happy with her gift. She noted that the water sound lowered the ringing in her ears.
Thanks for your review, Alix! It's so amazing to hear that the sound from the Aquaflame is helping with your friends' tinnitus. Just an FYI - If you click the "MORPH" button on the remote to start the color-changing mode, it likely will start on the fastest setting but there are 4 different speed settings. Just press the button again to move to the next speed setting, and keep pressing until you find a speed that's right for you.
I wouldn't give this item even one star. The lights work, however The pump only worked for about thirty seconds. I ensured an appropriate water level and installed new batteries without success. I then sent one-mail to customer service requesting further troubleshooting advice, or a refund or replacement. None of those options have been provided to me.
Hi, Ann! It sounds like you have a stuck impeller (the part that makes the fountain run!), this can happen if the Aquaflame has been sitting unused for a while, like in the warehouse. We have a cleaning tutorial with steps the resolve this issue: https://aquaflame.com/blogs/about-aquaflame/how-to-clean-your-aquaflame-fountain-diffuser
If that doesn't solve the problem, please send an email to email@example.com!
Great alternative to a citronella candle
I live in an apartment that doesn't allow open flames inside but we have a little patio. We like to sit out there but don't like being swarmed by bugs. When we put a few drops of citronella oil in the water of this fountain, it works to keep the bugs away without flame. The bubbling water is soothing too. It looks nice and is low maintenance. Needs batteries about once every two weeks if used for three hours every evening. Looked into plugging it in and it has a port for that but no cord included. I have a cord that gives the right output for it but am not sure how to set it up so that the metal looking shell isn't sitting on the cord. Otherwise it's the perfect solution for a nice little flameless citronella candle.
